What to expect at Eve

What to expect at Eve

It can be daunting not knowing what to expect when visiting somewhere new – let us put your mind at ease. Before we get into the ins and outs of our process and  treatments, we want to first assure you that we’re easy to find and yes, we have parking!

Now for the science part. Here at Eve we pride ourselves on providing an innovative, environmentally focused, intimate sugaring and waxing hair removal service. Our focus is on natural beauty and the safety and comfort of the women who visit us. Therefore, every new client experiences a private 1-2-1 consultation before commencing any treatments. This is so that we can be sure the wants and needs of each person are being fully met at all times. The consultation is a chance to ask questions, see the space and meet our therapists.

We work hard to ensure the space you come into here is a safe one – it’s really important that the information you provide during our consultation is accurate.  We will ask you a few questions to ensure we deliver our treatments safely and to give you the best results. It is important we are able to identify any issues that could arise or affect our waxing or sugaring service – your wellbeing is paramount. Depending on your desired treatment we may carry out a patch test and then plan your bespoke treatment based on this information. This consultation marks the start of your Eve journey.

A few days before any hair removal treatments we recommend you exfoliate your skin. This will remove any dead skin cells on the surface and make it easier for the hair to be removed. Hydrate your skin by moisturising and drinking plenty of water – and if that means treating yourself to a delicious new moisturiser, then so be it! Smooth, moisturised skin will make your wax much more comfortable, so it is worth investing this time in yourself  – your skin will thank you.

The hair needs to be a minimum of 1-2 centimetre to ensure maximum results. If you have been shaving, you will need a minimum of 2 weeks to regrow (sorry!). If you are concerned that your hair is too long, don’t worry – we will trim it for you, no problem, our bodies grow hair – it’s natural!

Try to avoid too many layers so that you can keep your skin cool and avoid overheating or sweating. Tight fitting clothes will rub against your freshly smooth skin – keep things loose and breezy, and even better, try and wear natural fabrics where possible. It can be a good idea to bring clean underwear depending on the area being waxed; this will ensure your skin remains nice and clean.

If you’ve had the luxury of the sun (we will try not to be too envious of your gorgeous post holiday glow) or you’ve just had a sunbed then please do not book an appointment straight away. You will need to wait a few days between sun exposure as your skin can be too sensitive. For our gal pals readying themselves for a special occasion – perhaps wedding season or an upcoming holiday – we recommend your first treatment takes place 5 weeks prior to the event, so that we can assess how your skin reacts and have time to adjust treatments accordingly.

We feel a huge sense of pride when women entrust their self care with us – it is our goal to help elevate you to feeling your glorious best self. We are a judgement free zone where all body shapes, sizes and colours are welcomed with open arms. We hope you feel safe, seen and held in our care, and we can’t wait to meet you.
